A seminar was held on Sunday 10/01/ 2017 in the Dukan Technical Institute on the topic of (Change in Human identity in modern Science). The seminar was prepared and presented by Shazher Muhammad, who is a member and contributor of the Dabran Science Magazine.
The presenter has begun by demonstrating how modern humans evolved and how humans are different from other animals. She than focused on the evolutionary history of the primates—in particular the genus Homo, and the emergence of Homo sapiens as a distinct species of the hominids (or great apes) rather than studying the earlier history that led to the primates.
Moreover, she stated that, according to scientific evidence human evolution is the lengthy process of change by which people originated from apelike ancestors. Scientific evidence shows that the physical and behavioural traits shared by all people originated from apelike ancestors and evolved over a period of approximately six million years.
Finally, the participants asked questions and engaged in a discussion and have argued that, further demonstrations and lectures as well as seminars on the topic is important and necessary.
During the last two years Dabran Platform has held several activities, seminars, and conferences in Kurdistan and abroad.
